Do I really need sewer line insurance?
Most homeowner policies do not offer this coverage, but that ours DO as an endorsement. The homeowner would otherwise be liable for all costs out of pocket. It is rare that a water line will break since exterior water service lines are freeze-proof and essentially free from accidental breakage. Water service lines are buried over two feet deep and often deeper. All water supply lines are buried below the frost line. If frost is not a concern, they are still buried deep in order to stay clear of normal work a person might perform on a yard.
